DVD Creation Software
Greetings all,
Do any of you have favorites or recommendations for DVD creation software? I've used Nero's DVD/Video software in the past. Overall I found the product ho-hum. It felt bloated and slow, stuffed with many applications I never used. However, their tools for creating DVD menus were great! I could create my own, fully customized DVD menus. When I built my new rig and upgraded to Windows 7, Nero stopped working (my current version). So I started shopping around for better products. So far I've really liked Adobe Premieres editing abilities. However, I'm not happy with the DVD menu abilities. The provide templates, and you can change the background, etc. but you cannot add more or fewer chapters to any given page, etc. (at least not that I've been able to read or achieve). I've also tried Corel's Video Studio Pro x4. It does the same thing as Adobe Premiere -- templates that you have small abilities to modify. I've googled this and watched some you-tubes but I just haven't found what I'm looking for. I'm hoping someone on the forum may have a suggestion. Thanks in advance. -=John |

For menus, I use DVDFlick.

Thanks for the reference. After googling DVD-lab and reviews I found this site. Which listed many such products. I didn't realize there was a single product category for this sort of software.Force Flow Thank you for the DVDFlick suggestion. I gave it a test drive and it doesn't offer the customization I'm looking for. Its really no different than what Corel Video Studio Pro x4 or Adobe Premiere Elements offers in their DVD authoring portion. Actually I'd say its even more restrictive. |

You can create your own custom templates for DVDFlick:
http://wpattinson.com/DVDF-template.shtml Additional templates are a available on their community forums (but appear to be offline at the moment for some reason): DVD Flick • Information Here's another application I came across listed (but haven't used myself): http://www.dvdstyler.org/en/ |
