Your opinion of CCleaner

I use it, anyone here use it?
It works well for me after removing viruses and kits.

I love it and donate to it. I put it on all my builds and instruct the users on how to use it. It is the last thing I run before delivering a new or repaired PC. I also instruct to use it (registry cleaner) after any software installation or un-installation. Piniform also makes Speccy and Defraggler which are pretty awesome as well.

Been using it since I joined this forum. Great cleaner. I use it almost daily. Check and clean registry at the same time. Love the ability it provides to handle cookies, which makes cruising sites easier.

I've used it for years. I like to use the registry scanner to clean up after uninstalling programs. I also use the utilities to manage start up programs and uninstalling programs. Both are easier than the Microsoft equivalents. If I'm going to do a virus or malware scan, I use it to clean up files. That makes the scan a little faster.

I've been using it for years, and it's the only registry cleaner that I trust. When cleaning up a machine, I always run it before doing malware scans.

Don't forget Recuva.

I use it and love it. I am curious, it appears the best way to do it is to use before scanning for malware in that it removes cookies and things the malware scan might catch (such as tracking cookies) and I suspect then makes it easier to see the results of the malware scans since it removes those first.

Ditto, though I tend to make it the last thing I do, rather than the first (either for system preps or malware removals).

During malware removals, Malwarebytes sometimes has trouble finding malware if you strip parts of it out before it has a chance to scan for them.

Interesting FF, I had wondered if there were times using it last was advantageous.

I use it first to speed up the malware scans - if you are scanning all the temp files and the browser cache it can take forever.

I've used it for years, though not regularly on my PC. But used it all the time at work. It's too bad that now it comes with Google crap with it.

The Google stuff is optional. Would you rather have to pay for it than actually READ the screens when you are installing it?

I tend to do that manually...takes too long to change all the options. You know...that would be a helpful feature...being able to specify setting profiles.
