Backups

I need some advice please. I had Windows Home Server set up but had to remove it because one of my computers is now wireless. I tried using Windows Back Up and Restore. But it won't complete because it still thinks that the WHS is still hooked up.
I have two computers that I want to keep backed up and I have two external HDD's. Both Computers are running Windows 7 Home Premium

I want to be able to "set it and forget it"

I would appreciate hearing what you use or what you would recommend to resolve this issue.

Thank You!!!

Ran a back up on both computers. One finished with the same results, the other is still running. I'll post the results when it's finished.
Is Nova backup 12.1 any good?

Do you have any of those folders mapped as network drives? If so disconnect them. Do the network shares appear under Computer Management?

The WHS is disconnected. There is nothing hooked up to the network anymore, just the two computers.
