Sony Vegas no MP3 Option @ Render .avi ?
Hey guys,
I just got a brand new Vegas 10 Pro, and when I try rendering a .avi I select XVID for the Video, but in the Audio tab, there's no MP3 option. It defaults on PCM Uncompressed, and there IS a "MPEG Layer 3" but when I select it there are no attributes so it won't change the default PCM selection. I understand Vegas comes with default MP3 codecs, I tried installing LAME codecs but to no avail. Also, I can select to render as .mp3 and then I can select any MP3 attribute settings (different bitrates etc) Thanks in advance! |

I dont get what you are trying to do.
Are you trying to render a your project as an .avi? but you dont have an option for the audio? |

I do have the option for Audio, but no MP3 from the drop down option - there IS "Mpeg Layer 3" but then beneath that where there's attributes (kbit/s etc) it's all empty as if this encoder is either corrupt or just not the right one. It's default on PCM Uncompressed, and all the other options I never heard of.
Thanks! |

Unless someone who actually uses this software joins in your answer is probably at the Sony forum dedicated to Vegas 10 Pro : Sony Creative Software - Forums - Home
