Question DVD problem

This arvo I attempted to play a DVD on my computer and ,although it played, there was no audio and it was like looking at a photo "negative".

I tried several others and they were all exactly the same.

Anyone heard of this problem or know how to fix it ?

Thanks

We need your specs.
Without knowing your hardware and what software you use to play DVDs we have no way to start.

I don't know how much info you need Pam.

My PC is an ASUS 4Gb with Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz

Operating System is Windows Vista

DVD software is Cyberlink BD Solution.

Enough ??

Download and install VLC and see if it does the same thing using it to play your DVD's.

Since what you have is a complete software suite for everything from video capture to BD authoring if VLC works the thing I'd check next would be settings.
Pull out (or download) the manual and read through it to make sure you've set it up right.

Downloaded and installed VLC and when I try to play a DVD just get a black screen. It is recognising the J drive but for some reason nothing happens.

The BD solution player worked when i got the computer three or four years ago but hadn't tried it again until a couple of days ago.

Thank you for the attempted help.

That means you need a new BD drive.

Thank you for the help. I finally fixed the problem by downloading the display and audio drivers again with the help of Cyberlink support.

All the best.

Glad you got it fixed.
Any idea why the drivers went AWOL on you?
