2 finger scroll problem with Firefox
Hi guys,
I am running Firefox 6.02 on my laptop (win 7) and am having major problems with 2 finger scroll. Basically, as I scroll down the page will randomly jump back to the top and on certain sites (like deviantart) it will just completely jump to a new page, and I can't get back to the first page using the back button. My google-fu is weak and I am only finding solutions for people who's 2 button scroll doesn't work at all. Many thanks!

Type about:config in the address bar and hit Enter key. When you see a warning, click I'll be careful, I promise! button
In the Filter bar, type trackpoint Right-click ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled preference, click Modify and change the value from 1 to 1 Click OK Close about:config tab Close Firefox (click Firefox button and click Exit) Now you should be able to scroll using Trackpoint and Middle Mouse button on the Trackpad again. |

I think he meant -1 to 1. I believe I tried that, but scrolling is still wonky. Will check again when I get home.

Hey sorry for the delay.
Thanks jdeb, I did try that solution and nothing changed. What happens is that a two finger scroll to the bottom does the same as hitting the back button. I'll look through the config options again but if anyone knows what that could be I'd appreciate it. glc, you have to be contending for some sort of record with your post count. Thanks for all the help over the years! |
