Ie9

Is it me or is yahoo got some kind of error going on with IE9?

At the top of their page(yahoo) it says 'upgrade to the safer IE8' so I click on it and it says I'm already using IE9. Okay, I pretty much already knew that, but yahoo still has it on my page.

I was having an issue with my yahoo mail also. It kept wanting me to update, but when I tried to update I got the same message. "You are already running IE9"

I tried a reinstall, its still there. I removed IE9 completely/rebooted/went thru MS update, let it do its thing and yahoo still has that message at the top of the page.
It's just buggin' me.

Now the remove and update did fix the issue I was having with my yahoo mail. But the main yahoo page still thinks I'm running a version earlier than IE8.

Anybody else see this on yahoo? Or am I just lucky?

Can you take a screenshot and host it somewhere for us to view? I am curious to see what you are seeing now.

I too have loaded up my IE9 browser to visit Yahoo's site and did not see the same.

Ie9-desktop-screen-shot.jpg

lets see if that works

Yep. Its right at the top. Even before I go to 'My Yahoo' it in the same place. I'm running IE9. If I click on it, it takes me to this page:

Here is my yahoo without signing in:

Lol. Unfortunate. At least it isn't some glaring pop-up. That is fairly unobtrusive and you can live with it, right? :-)
