Vista data finder on 7

So i was dumb and a while back put on a vista copy of a backup of my brothers laptop, and now that its on this computer Win7 64bit home, im having this popup every time i start the computer asking for what OS i want to use.

So i was wondering is there any program or method of easily removing all of the vista based content to stop this popup?

I moved over a backup, of my brothers computer(its vista) onto my new computer(windows 7 home 64bit), and ever since, when i power up the computer, right before it loads the OS, it asks me which OS i want to use. 7 Home premium, or Vista.

Did you migrate it?

You are probably going to have to move the files you need to another folder or back up again. Then do MBR repair.

Ouch, sorry for the late response. Been awfully busy. Anyways, the thing is, its on my secondary hard drive. Not my main OS HD. Is there not a way to just find the Vista stuff and remove it?

It was rather simple to do, just wasnt aware that it was such a bad idea. What do you mean by migrate?

Also, i am able to boot no problem. Im typing this on the computer atm. Maybe i should just record this...make it a lot easier to show.

Download EasyBCD 2.1.2 - NeoSmart Technologies

Remove the Vista boot entry.

Hey guys quick question, my friend is having issue with his college's website and its compatibility to OS 10(mac), and is wanting to still use his mac laptop to get on the website.

Would there be any problem using this software to control choosing between booting OS 10, or say windows XP(or insert other OS)?

I know its an old thread but it relates right to it pretty much.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't use EasyBCD on a Mac. I think the best solution to run Windows on a Mac would be in a virtual machine or with Bootcamp/Parallels.

What glc said.

You have only two options: Bootcamp or Parallels.

Parallels is a VM, and Bootcamp is a dual boot manager, right?

Correct. Bootcamp comes with Mac OS X, but Parallels costs $$.
