-Wake up! Has this dream stopped? The snake was pale gold Glazed and shrunken
And she was beside me Ooh, she's not young Her dark red hair, her white soft skin
Now, run to the mirror in the bathroom, look She's coming in here I can't live through each slow century of her moving
The smooth hissing snakes of rain...

Without knowing which mobo you have there is no way to tell you which drivers to get

Here's the page with the downloads for your board : ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS P5Q PRO

Make sure you undo any over clock before installing new motherboard drivers.

ALWAYS undo the overclock before installing ANYTHING.

I don't see the need for a driver update looking at the screenshot. The standard Windows 7 chipset driver is all you need.

High risk of data corruption during the install.

Thumbs up

unlike the computers that is used for processing tasks , my system is only
a gaming pc , it wont be an issue for me if i had problems installing as
i can reinstall easily . i formatted many times while overclocking i havnt
noticed any errors or performance issues so far .

i am about to install The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and that is an important
event so i wanted everything to be ready .

You never did answer glc's question.... "Why are you looking for drivers? Is something not working? "

I do not see why you need to update the chipset

I'm guessing here but it's possible the poster is harking back to the days when updating chipsets was a good idea for running new games.

but i did answer . i formatted so all drivers and programs must be the latest
including the mb and hd like real-tech and rapid storage ex .

i was advised to update Intel chip-set at vip asus since the 2006 drivers are
way too back

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Forum- intell drivers

we even agreed to extract the exe and update manually as the utility failed
to update

as you see in this driver its updated to 2010 the previous driver was dated
2006

without going scientific with you miss pam , but i update all my hardware drivers
and system programs to the latest drivers after formatting without really asking why .
there i have the hardware and there is the newest drivers for it so i update .

i know what you mean , but my next system wont be before 2013 , and i wont
go for mid range parts . as i learned haw useless they are for a time proof gaming pc .

ill be selling my apartment here in Cairo these few weeks and moving to another city at the red sea . called Hurgada . its quit far but i found
a nice house for my own there for near the same price as my apartment .

that will mean ill be dealing with a lot of money at this time so il manege
to save for a decent new machine

Chances are that you are not seeing any differences in the games you are playing with an overclock.

You can undo the OC simply by pulling the CMOS battery.

David, I don't think it's the undoing that's hard or complicated, it will be the resetting to the working specs. Setting BIOS to default would work just as well to undo the OC.

That most games nowadays depend on the video card, not the processor; namely, you're overclocking the wrong component.

Rage system requirements - System Requirements

Rage :

Recommended System Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad

VGA: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550

this game simply dose not think so . and it believes that a 2.4 cpu c2q
is better than my 4ghz E8500 so my system is below their req even that
my vga is 3 times better than the highest vga they demanded ,

do i care ? no because my cpu is running all those quad cpu games just
fine .
