audiyoda, Can you answer a question about Music Creator?

Can Cakewalk's Music Creator take midi, wav, or mp3 files that I download and turn it into printable sheet music? I need to know before I open it so if it does not I can return it. Thankyou.

Hi BassMaster4000,

Well, I'm no audiyoda, but I think I can answer your question. On Cakewalk's site it says:
Quote:
Music Creator allows you to compose and print sheet music with ease. Record and transcribe any performance using any MIDI instrument, or just point and click to add and move notes in the Staff view.
So I'm guessing you can print out sheet music from MIDI files. As for .wav and .mp3 files, I doubt you can because there is no way to extract the individual notes from each instrument from the file, MIDI files and .wav/.mp3 files are two totally different things.

You may still want to hold off openining it though until audiyoda can validate what I said.

Yes it will print sheet music from MIDI files -- is it good transcription? No. Only dedicated music notation software will give you well written, readable music transcription.
