Problem installing video editing software

I have been trying unsuccessfully to download and install trial versions of Cyberlink PowerDirector and equivalent Corel software. After downloading both of them and running their respective installation programs I ended up with a notice that some of the downloaded files were corrupt and that I should download them again. I have tried to install both several times but, even after disabling Windows Security Centre I get the same result. I think it's likely that it is a problem at my end rather than with the programs themselves. Any suggestions?

Before you decide it's your problem have you had any other recent corrupt downloads?
