syncui.dll error
Hey folks,
I am getting this error upon startup: c:\windows\TEMP\syncui.dll I tried googling the exact error and nothing. Any thoughts??? |

And why are you running programs off the Temp folder? That looks suspicious.

I can't remember the exact error message but it only happens upon reboot. The computer I gave back to my friend. I will try and get the exact message. I feel it is software related.
As for running the program in the temp folder I am also curious why that was but I can't seem to find out what program if any is causing that error. |

Check the entries in msconfig > Startup for any references to this file. It seems to relate to some software that syncs devices with your computer (i.e. iPods, etc.). Look for the file in the Temp folder; see what else is there in such folder, particularly any executables.

Here is more detail as to the actual error.
It says there was a problem starting C:\windows\TEMP\syncui.dll....and then it says the specified module could not be found.....and that window still keeps coming up twice that I have to "X" out of. |

Do what Nuclear Krusader mentioned.
Click on START->Run and type: MSCONFIG and look in the startup tab |
