Cloning software
I would like recommendations on cloning software. I want to clone just my C drive , install it into a new HD and in a larger partition. I am using Win XP.

The old one I havent removed yet, it was stock on this PowerSpec b300 and is 160GB SATA.
The new one will be Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive. |

Then I would use the free Acronis True Image WD Edition. Install it, then create the rescue media, then boot with the media.
Are you SURE you only want to clone C? On a Dell, I'd want to keep the diagnostic/utility partition and the recovery partition. Either way, you are going to have to use the advanced/manual options. |
