Is the modem bridged or did Verizon have an alternate method?

It is bridged just like the directions said.....I noticed when I changed from WPA to WPA2 it did not connect for some reason.....so I put it back. What is TKIP vs AES by the way? It is on TKIP.... I really have no idea what went wrong originally. But all is well.

When you change from WPA to WPA2, you also have to redo the passphrase. TKIP and AES are simply 2 different types of encryption.
Bottom line - WPA is secure enough for a home, and either encryption is fine. |

Cool! Good to know. I actually have been in every room in the house including a detached pole barn a good 50-75 feet from the house and still had reception! I am now watching Quantum Leap on my 46" flatscreen using just the hdmi. The sound is coming thru my Onkyo reciever and seems to be surround! Great investment! Might just end up cutting cable now!
How was the trip? Send me a private message if you want. Thanks. Jim |
