Slow CCleaner
Latest edition of CCleaner slower than Christmas. I went to their site and tried edition prior to this one and same thing. I finally re-installed version 315 that was using prior and got the speed back. Settings haven't changed

I've had various versions take forever. I think it depends on exactly what you have it set to clean.

Always same settings, first time in years had a slow one. I'll just stick with this older version. I don't really see why they change so often since the functions are basic.

The more stuff you have in your temp and browser caches, the longer it takes to work.

I know. I'm anal about it and run it after every session, even if just going to Chase or checking mail.

The only extra thing CCleaner wants to install is Google Chrome, and you can opt out of that. You always need to READ the screens whenever you install ANYTHING, especially free utilities. Google pays Piriform for putting that in there. It's just like the ads you find on websites, including here. Someone has to pay the bills.
