BING Problem
I'm having some strange things happening on my Dell Inspiron Win 7 machine. I had somehow gotten the Bing toolbar. I used Uninstall to remove it. Now no matter where I try to do a search it defaults to using the Bing search engine... Has anyone else experienced this? Have I picked up a virus? I'm using VIPRE for internet security and after a deep scan it shows no problems. Any suggestions as to how to get rid of BING?
TIA, mopilot

First try going into your browser and change which search engine it lists as your default search engine and change it.
Which browser are you using? Or go to the search engine you want to use as your default search engine and from there select it as such. As far as getting rid of uwanted toolbars normally goes, going to Control Panel, Programs, Uninstall a program works. Are you certain you did this? If none of this works then do a deep scan with MalwareBytes (updated) in Safe Mode. If that does not work then as a last option try System Restore back to a date before you had a problem with the toolbar and your default search engine listing. EDIT: I just did a little looking into the Bing toolbar. Read this.... http://ask-leo.com/how_do_i_get_rid_of_bing.html
