That's strange, because all my downloads goes to my downloads folder in Windows 7.

I love Chrome. It works way better than IE. Firefox is ok, but some online games I play utilize WebGL, and Chrome is the only browser with full WebGL support.

To view the list of recent downloads:

Tools > Downloads. Click the "Show in folder" link to open the file's containing folder.

To specify the default download location:

Tools > Settings > click "Advanced Settings" > scroll down to "downloads".

I set one browser to default and also use the others. I am using chrome here and also have IE open and have icons for opening other sites with different browsers.
You can run them all at the same time - why choose only one.
Make icons and put the web page after the Target in properties.

Using just mse haven't used a regular anti virus program in a long time.. What is weird, the web host for the file I downloaded from a developer I know, it basically said, that you can't download but with chrome only.. It claimed my IE was not new enough to download a huge file.. I had to laugh as I have the latest IE and the file was only 850MB. He is a screen shot.

I finally got the file, just uninstalled and reinstalled chrome.. But I had to laugh at what this crazy web host said..

Somebody has to pay the bills - it's just like the other free downloads that want you to install Chrome, etc.

That may be the case, but pretty much forceing someone to install something they don't want. Well that would only make people stay away IMO.. The web host I'm sure gets plenty of $$$$

As I've written b4, I don't like google. Different strokes for different folks. They seem to be too intrusive and a lot of folks get a program and the Chrome is part of it but they don't check it. I've been guilty of that, like getting Mcafee AV as you hurry through the download. I pay for all my AV, Spyware and even CCleaner now, and hold their feet to the fire.

LOL. Just last night my computer got something while doing a search. I called Norton and told them to get on my system and fix it while I watched and drank beer.

The day you use Norton, much less "call" them on a Friday night, I'll pay my own airfare out there to visit, but I prefer ginger ale nowadays.

My copy is free. It is one of a 3 copy 360 package.
I tell the people that have the 2 other copies what to do when they have a problem in return I get virus protection/backup/live support. Been doing it for years now.
It is not like I can't manually remove a virus, I just do not want to cut into my party-time.
