MS Outlook 2000 loses password

HI,

This error is driving me crazy. Everytime I log on to Outlook 2000 it keeps prompting me for a password to access internet email. I type in the password in Internet Mail's properties column and check the box that says to remember the password, then hit apply. About 3-5 minutes later it prompts me again. I go back into the Internet mail service, go to its properties and the password is gone. I type in the password and it acts like it accepts it only minutes later it doesn't. My microsoft mail works fine and out of about 50 computers this one is the only one. It's Os is Win2000 professional. Any help will be appreciated.

I've read about similar Windows problems, they recommend deleting the offending password file as it is probably corrupt and making a new one.
