Unhappy Plextor software Problems

Here’s what happened:
Got a new CD Burner. Plextor: PlexWriter 12/10/32A
Installed Burner. Everything’s ok. Installed bundled software (Plextor Manager 2000, Roxio Easy CD Creator, Roxio Direct CD) The Roxio software is crippled.
Everything is working great. Even burned a CD. (With PlexManager2000)
IN comes Nero. Tried to install Nero. It wouldn’t with Easy CD on the system. I uninstalled Easy CD. Installed Nero. What I thought was a demo was Nero for a Yamaha Burner. Won’t work with my Burner. OK, so I uninstall Nero. I installed Clone CD. Great works fine. I reinstall Easy CD. Now when I go back to open the PlexManager 2000 software (Which worked before) It opens but does not recognize any CD drives. Not the CD-ROM or the burner. This is the error I get:

No CD-ROM, CD-R or CD-RW drives were found. Please check the following to
resolve this issue:

1) Check that power and signal cables are properly attached to the drive(s).
2) Check the drive user manual and verify that jumper settings are correct.
3) Check system configuration including BIOS, drivers and hardware conflicts.
4) Verify that the drive and the drive controller are enabled in Device Manager.
5) Reinstall Plextor Manager 2000.

Iv uninstalled all CD software and reinstalled PlexManager2000 by itself. Same error. Iv removed both CD drives from the system (physically and in device manager) reinstalled and let windows find them again. Same error. I went to Plextors web site and tried to update the Burners firmware. When I tried to install the update, I get this error: ERROR initializing WNASPI32.DLL
Burner works great with all software except Plextors. I just don’t know why the software worked the first time I installed it and won’t work again. No matter what I do. I sent Plextor an e-mail last night and IM waiting for a reply. There software was pretty decent and I would like to use it.
Thanks
Sorry for the long post.
Gotta go, Ill check back later.

IDE1: P: 6.4 Gig HD
S: 1.2 Gig HD
IDE2: P: Mitsumi CD ROM
