FTP server
Looking for an easy to use Freeware FTP server to run on my win98.
I mainly want to be able to access my home PC from work.

I have PC anywhere and Lap Link Pro, they work good, but i am also thinking of using this to allow my GF or friends to maybe download as well. So I don't want to use thoses programs. Good Idea though.
Also a webpage server would be nice too if there is a easy to use free one. I will look into War FTP Last edited by Byte 2.0; 12-28-2001 at 04:18 PM. |

Hi byte,
If you are going to do all that, have you considered dual booting with linux and running FTP/server software that comes with it (eg. Apache)? Just thought I'd share another option. HTH |

WSFTP
In my opinion, by far the best is WSFTP. It can be downloaded from various sites and comes in various versions, both "freeware" and "shareware"

I use War FTP and have had no problems. My laptop from work will not file share on my home network so I use War locally to share files as well as.
