Talking How do I open a file with an .RAR extension?
I have been sent a file with an RAR extension. I have never encountered these so do not know what program to open it. I have tried Lotus 123, Wordpad and Winzip8.1 . No luck with any of them. Could someone please help?

RAR is a compression format (like ZIP) to open it use WinRAR

It decompresses nearly everything.

I'll try that. Thanks. I thought it was some sort of compressed file, hence trying Winzip. Many thanks for the help.
