Have a customer who lost his driver disk for the above mentioned Laptop - is there any one who has this driver set.. it's a NeoMagic 128XP driver - all I can get is the 128XD drivers which will hang the computer as soon I switch is on 16 K..
anyone??

Hi Chris,

Are you sure that laptop doesn't use the Neomagic 128 "XD" instead of "XP"? If so check out this link:

Danke..
Yea it is in fact the XD - just used DEBUG to get the actual string in there..but still it just hangs when switching on to 16 Bit..will not make it to load the desktop fully - this for Win98SE

Update
OK I have those drivers already and mine are even newer than those - anyway just to make sure that this may is a driver issue I removed all - including *.inf and also deleted every trace of them - and ? It still hangs as soon entering deskop - disabled the Sound for Windows start and there we go no more hang - now I think it's a problem with the sound drivers.. Crytal something.. guess have to dl them ..
