Ner0 5.0 problem

Ok, to make this short and sweet.

I have 2 PC's

One had a CD RW drive and the other does not

I have nero 5.0 installed on the PC with the burner(good place for it)

Ok I was backing up some of my files to CD.

They work perfect in the PC with the RW drive. However they will not work in my PC with a DVD and normal 24 x CD rom?

Did I burn them with an incorrect format? if so What format should i be using??? Had a friend test the CD and it worked in his CD RW drive, he does not use nero. but it didnt' work in his main drive.

Do the CD's work in other CD-Roms. Your CD-Rom might just be fussy about reading burned CD's.

I have not been able to make them work in any DVD or CD ROM yet, unless they where CD RW drives. Have not tried in a plain CD R drive, dont' have one around to test that with.

I am almost thinking i did something with the format type of the disc

I am wondering about ISO 9660 / Joliet mode 1. I know there is a differance but i can't remember what it is.

going to point a screen shot.

i was wondering about that. i never had any problems with easy Cd creator, Guess i shouldnt' have decided i wanted a newer program, but nero can do more things like VCD's and stuff.

IF i just left the CD open is there a way to close it?

I have noticed on the 3-4 Nero 5s I have installed that cllosing the session is not on by default. Put the CD back in and close the session. I dont know if this will solve it or not but juding from the screen shot, it might be.

Uhh, well, Nero can do this, but has some errors, especially with SVCD. If VCD/SVCD authoring is important to you, then Nero isn't recommendable. Use VCDeasy (www.vcdeasy.org) instead. It's freeware and better than Nero for (S)VCD authoring stuff.

A CD-RW will work in any drive that has a strong enough laser to read it if you burn it like a CD-R. If you packet write it, you need a multisession capable modern CD drive and a UDF reader to read it.
