recovering files
i know this is the wrong forum, but you guys always know more stuff then anyone else...
i just deleted a folder without using the recyling bin, how do i recover it??? |

Hi alecsputnik,
There are some programs that can "undelete" files, but you should do it as soon as you can and avoid installing new programs which would overwrite the space on the hard drive where the old files still are. I'm not sure which programs are the best since I've never used one, but there are plenty listed here, some freeware and some shareware. http://directory.google.com/Top/Comp...ng_and_Repair/ Hope that helps. |

Well yes, but because it's needed to restore the files. When you deleted the file, it simple marked the chunk of space on the HDD where the file as was as "empty", but it never really deleted the data. So as long as that chunk of "empty" data is still intact it can be restored. What I meant is to do it ASAP because the long you wait the bigger the chance of another program claiming that empty space for itself and writing over your data.
