hello, question what is mpeg4 file. what is it used for what is the difference between mpeg4 and mpeg2. also, in video cd what kind of file format do they use is it mpeg2 or something else. also how to change .avi file into .mpeg file

Hi,
MPEG-4 uses a higher compression than MPEG-2. For the same quality you will need less bitrate. It's used for videos to download from the internet. Quality is ok and file size is small so it's sorta download-friendly. Video CD uses MPEG-1. Super Video CD uses MPEG-2. DVD uses MPEG-2. To encode AVI to MPEG you need an MPEG encoder, like TMPGEnc ( www.tmpgnec.net ). RJ
