Redistributable Package?
At present I am running Direct X 8.1 and just found out that there is a DX 8.1b so I decided to download it, but the only one I could find is at Tucows.com in a "Redistributable Package" that weighs in at 26+ megs!! DX 8.1 was only around 8 or 9 megs. So what does that mean? Anyone got a clue? I want to get DX8.1b, but I need to know what that "R.P." means first. And why such a large d\l for a version of DX? Thanks!!!
Stubby,

Redistributable Package means its the full install so you could put it on a CD and install it on other computers without the need for internet access and such

Thanks alot for the claraification Justin26K!! I had no idea what that meant and why it was 3 times larger than the other DX's. Now I understand
I even went to the M$ website and all they have there is the DX 8.1. Again, thanks for clearing that up for me.
