Just in case anyone is interested, Netscape 7.0 was released yesterday.

Ahh, crap. I just spent my time fixing up the preview release last week. There are a few things I prefer in the old versions, but they were the tiny, little specifics of the 4.7x build.

While on the subject, how do you switch between tabs? I was hoping they would bind Ctrl-Tab to that but they binded that to some silly change instead.

I installed Netscape 7.0 after uninstallling Mozilla- still, the animated download picture in the upper right hand corner of the browser shows the Mozilla 'M' and then the dragon. Also, Netscape will not reopen after I have opened and closed it once. Might need to do some registry cleaning to get it to run correctly.

Found the problem- there is a Mozilla folder in Windows/Application Data that needs to be deleted. Netscape works ok now, interestingly, the Mozilla folder has reappered in the same location except now it has Netscape files in it.

Netscape is built upon the Mozilla engine. As I see it, Mozilla is like the kernel and Netscape is a disto with all the software garbage loaded on top of it. So, it should not be a surprise that they use the same resources.
Does anyone know if a binding exists for switching tabs? Respectfully, Demosthenes |
