Winamp only plays music files. For ripping CDs to MP3s, I personally use Exact Audio Copy with Lame. This website tells you how to do it: http://mp3.radified.com/

You can just use any burning software (Nero, Easy CD, etc.) to burn the mp3 files to a CD.

I was just trying to use XP's burning software to burn an mp3 to cd but it burned it as a CD file not an mp3. What's up with that? Do I need to install Roxio 5 platinum?

You need to install something other than XP's built in burning software - I suggest Nero.

Can you guys give me a couple of pointers when downloading from WinMX using 56k? Thanks.
