Need help with the format

hey all....I was just downloading a movie off of Kazzaa, and then when I tried playing it, all I saw was some graphic design as the picture....I can here the movie itself in the audio, but the video itself is not playing. now it say its AVI format, and I have tried palying it in Windows media player, kazaa player, and real player...no luck, when I tried going to microsoft.com to download the latest codec...cause thats what it said when I tried playing it in WMP, "contacting site for codec download" and it said error downlooading codec, so I dled the latest wmp and still no luck...now in the file description it says Ecklipse-Rip...and I know that Ecklipse rips music, games, and video, and puts them onm Filesharing services...but I dont know what to do, should I look for more media players on the net...if you know please respond, this is driving me nuts

You just need to install the DivX codec.
