I just saw an ad last night. Sony has either a 30 or 80 $ package that is designed to do the trick. (now that I have discarded all my vinyl)

HI,

Just wondering, can you rig up 2/3 turntables and mixer, and have a skratch etc, and rekord it to PC's?

I always wanted to make my own cd so I can hear it in the car etc, but never really thought about connecting my turntables to the PC.

Or do you need special software and cabling to be able to do that?

Any input appreciated...

Zinedene

ive just connected my turntable to the pc and by using the sound cards own software (creative wave studio), ive just turned an lp into a wav format ready to burn to cd!!!!!!
wooo-hoooo
easy peesy, lemon sqeezy.
in answer to zinedine, as long as you have one signal connected to the line in of your card, then yep!, i cant see any problemos!!

If you want all the how-to's on recording from LP to CD-R, read this page. It is the definative -- all the gain stages are correct and there is no chance of blowing your sound card. And a word of advice -- don't run your turntable directly into your soundcard -- the RIAA EQ curve along with the higher line output will do some serious damage to your soundcard.
