Need to copy cassette to cd
Does anyone know a program or a way I can copy a cassette tape through my soundblaster soundcard and onto either my hard drive or onto a CD.

It's easy.
You need a patch cord from the output of your cassette deck, to the line in jack of the sound card. Windows sound recorder will do the job in .wav format, and you can then convert to MP3. I prefer using LP Recorder, although built for Vinyl, it will work as good with tape. Get it here: http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/LPRecorder/ |

The only problem with Windows recorder is it's a pain trying to make clips longer than 60 seconds - 3rd party software is essential. I think Creative Wave Studio will do the job, it probably came with your Soundblaster.

MusicMatch can directly record in MP3 format.

Try Goldwave. I think it's pretty good for sound editing and importing.
