mail rules

I have been plagued with mail from "iREWARDSTECH"
No matter how many times I have tried to unsubscribe through the link the messages provides, I keep getting mail from different addresses, all connected to IREWARDSTECH. I haven't a clue how I ended up on their list.
I tried making a mail "rule" so that any mail with the text "iREWARDSTECH" doesn't get downloaded from the server. But when I tried mailing myself a message with said word in the text I end up with the message in my inbox.
Am I missing a step here? any ideas??

Just to make sure, you did create the rule to use:

"Where the message body contain specific words" and "Delete it" and for the specific words you used "iREWARDSTECH", correct?

You'll want to download and delete it, if you leave them on the server they'll accumulate and take up space over time which might cause a problem on the ISP's end.

Send a message via AIM to cuffs007
one other tip... if anyone out there gets unsolicited email, i have a couple of things to try...

1. dont open it (simple, yes, but...)
2. dont ever click on a link inside the email to unsubscribe... this can tell that "company" that you have a valid email address to spam...

other than that, there's only so much we can filter, yet it still appears.... Grrrrrrrrr

DrZ, there's another option: "Delete it from the server". Do you know if that option really works?

As much as I hate Outhouse Express...It's filter should work.
Set it up so both sender and subject contain the offending word, and choose to delete it, or delete from server.
I tried the exact word using those filtering options in Eudora, and it works fine.
