Can't uninstall Office 2000

Repairing or reinstalling Office 2000 won't fix my MS Office problem. I can't get it to take less than 5 mins. to paste simple text from the clipboard onto a new doc, so I want to totally uninstall and reinstall afresh. Somehow I have two copies of this loaded on my HDD and can't get the last one to uninstall.
How do I do this?
Does it have to do with havings Windows.000 on my drive tree?

Don't know if this helps, but here's an image of my OS Programs' setup:

Is it not listed in the add remove programs applet in the Control Panel?

Is that your quick launch bar with 17 items? Not that it really matters I just haven't seen one that extensive bfore.

It's not listed there anymore. I foolishly had 2 installs, one on C drive and the one showing on E. When I uninstalled with Add/Rem it left the E drive copy and it's not in A/R now to remove. The Office disk won;t uninstall it either.
Hence, my perplexion.
Yeah, I hate my desktop being cluttered so I put them there. I should use one of those utilities that will hide them for me.

Dude,
I had a similar situation. What I had to do was, go in the registry and delete EVERY "Office" key in there.
It took about an hour. After that all was fine.
I somehow deleted my Office install folder, thus office would not run or reinstall, it kept telling me office was already installed.
But after I did the reg thing, it worked.

Cool

Just remember to download STAR office next time and use star office instead of the micro$haft equivalent.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, if you had two copies and you unistalled one, wouldn't that have removed everything from the registry? If it were me I would delete the entire folder of the reamining one and see what happens. You should be able to restore it from the recycle bin if any thing goes wrong. Baring that you could do a system restore.
It's worth a try!!
