File Splitting Programs

Does anyone know of any file spillting programs that I could download? I've tried some but they weren't good.

Thanks

If I need to split files (like to keep on 3.5" floppies), I use the WinRAR archiver. It will allow you to create a archive library with file sizes your specify (I believe WinACE does the same thing). But I don't know of any ZIP archiver that will do that (WinRAR or WinACE will allow you to save to ZIP file formats if that it your preference).

Winzip can split to a specified size now, as can Winrar and Winace.

winsplit
Avoid being forced into the world of CD-Rs and Zip disks when you need to exchange large files between computers. WinSplit is a free utility that splits even 1GB files into e-mail or floppy-friendly bites, and re-joins the data into a single file at its destination. Three splitting options let you split the file by size, number of pieces, and at every instance of a particular word (when breaking up text files). There is also a feature that checks to ensure that all of the file pieces are an exact copy of the original. This application is free for personal use; the fee for corporate use is $20.

I've been using the free HJSplit for about 5 years. Only one catch, HJSplit must be installed on the host and the client.
Winzip is the next best alternative, using the self-extracting executable it makes.
Check out Power Archiver (Winzip clone), used to be free, and does the same thing.
