Nero OEM
I bought what I thought and what the eBay seller told me was a "full" version of Nero but he just sold me his disk from a CD recorder he bought. Needless to say he hasn't replied to my emails. Does anyone know how I can get this Nero CD to recognize my CDRW?

Go to www.nero.com and download the latest trial version (5.5.9.9.last I looked) and install it over the top of your existing installation as an upgrade. If this doesn't work, you are essentially screwed as what you have is keyed to a specific recorder.

its even easier than that. On Nero's site download page u will find a file called "cdrom.cfg". Simply download it and then save it in the folder in which Nero is installed, overwriting the old "cdrom.cfg" in that folder. Restart your system. If the drive is supported your troubles are over.
Best option though is to download the latest version of Nero and install it. It will update your copy of Nero to the current version, which has a number of new and user-friendly features. ftp://ftp.nero.com/nero55914.exe |
