Running 'Ad Aware' or 'The Cleaner'

Hey guys
Just wondering how often you guys run your adware or the cleaner, I run mine everyday and find new stuff on my comp and wonder where it comes from!!!??

Also do you guys have better any better cleaning programs then 'the cleaner' and 'adaware' my norton takes forever to do a search compared to the others.

i use it but i do not always fnd stuff. the way to avoid spyware is to not click 'yes' on those security warning things unless your sure of what it is. if you have something like kazaa or morpheus, they are installed automatically! which is really annoying. but adaware is good, you just remove them.

I don't run Ad-Aware as often as I used to. I stopped downloading programs with spyware, and use a good cookie filter setting in IE6. The only thing I ever get now that AdAware detects is the "Doubleclick" cookie. All I have to do is empty my cookies folder.

I usually run it under certain circumstances, like when I think I need it for something.

I tried the trial of PestPatrol www.pestpatrol.com a while back and liked it. Another good program to scan your computer's contents with.
