Problem setting up dualview to watch movies:
I just formatted and reinstalled xp. I used to watch videos with the media player on my tv, while using my monitor for the internet, icq, and such. But since the reinstall, every time I select something on the monitor the media player jumps out of full screen mode on the tv. The only difference that I can think of is that I had the beta version media player before, but that is no longer on the update site. I've messed with the nview settings and the media player settings to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry -- I don't own a nVidia card -- have you tried their web site?

Their website doesnt deal with my particular problem. I have no problem using the nview features, i just cant get it configured the way I would like.
I can get the media player to play on the tv while I work on the monitor, but the media player will not stay fullscreen while I'm accessing anything on the monitor. I used to think that this was a disadvantage to the dual head video card versus having two separate cards. But then microsoft released a beta media player which worked exactly as I wanted. I picked up a few viruses the other day, so I decided it was time to format anyway. Now the beta player is no longer up there and I cant seem to find any settings in wmp or in nview that will get me the results I'm looking for. I'm thinking its a thing with the media player where it needs to be the active window or else it jumps out of full screen mode, but obviously there must be some way to change this as the beta player did not have this problem. It may be that this is a weakness with the wmp and that there is no solution. Any suggestions are welcome... |

Thanks for the link. It never occurred to me that it would be anywhere but on the microsoft update site. That solves the problem, but I wish I understood what was changed from one version to the next....anyway, thanks again
