Encarta Update Files
I've got Encarta Encyclopedia Deluxe 2002 and has been constantly updated. I just wanna know where the updated files are stored. I mean, if I reformat my hard drive and reinstall Encarta, I could still restore or place the updated files where they ought to be, that I don't have to go on-line and download updates again. At least I could make a back up copy of those files before I reformat. And that is considering the limited period of time you can update your Encarta.
Somebody out there knows where is that located, and what type of file is it? |

Browse to the
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Encarta\2002 Contents\EE02AOEMC folder. Mine is 404 mb in size. Burn it onto a cdr, then after the reinstall, compare both folders, and add your internet update file back. cheers, ~pawprint~ |

Your welcome, cliffboy. Good luck with the format and reinstall.
Don't forget to obtain all your hardware drivers, and to back up your e-mail folders,address book, favorites,etc. My rule of thumb re: backing up files is, always back up a file that you would not be able to replace. cheers, ~pawprint~ |
