Playing dowloaoded movie
So I downloaded a movie via kazaa and it downloaded okay but now I have it, how do i play the darn thing. I thought Windows media player would play the movie but it comes up that it is the wrong format for media player. (latest media player) so what do I need to play a movie. I have downloaded video clips before and they have played okay but I guess a movie is different to a video

U most likely need another Plug in for that file type. One that is probably not directly supported by MS. Post back and Give us the file extension. the .XXX
starwars.??? example |

You need to get the nimo codec pack to play certain movies. You can get it at
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html. |

I was thinking of nimo codec but i couldn't remember how to spell it or the link, i was going to wait until i got home to post it.
that one is probably the KEY. I also moved this thread to software because I believe this is a better forum for it. /cheers |

You could download quicktime. That usually plays what MS MP doesn't.

Thanks for all the replies guys. The movie that I downloaded has an AVI extension I think from memory. I am away from the computer that I downloaded it to but I am pretty sure thats what it is. I will check out all your advice.

Hmm I have about 8 players on my PC and Windows Media Player is the only thing I can get to play .AVI extensions.

If that's the case, it's probably a codec issue.
