Word Pad
I'm trying to figure out how to do a word count on a document.
I am told the toolbar should look loike this: File Edit View Insert Format Tools Spelling and Grammar Language Word Count but I don't have a button that says Tools and can't figure out how to put one there if it indeed exists.

I think you need MS Word, not Word Pad, for that.

Yes, you need a basic, full word processing application. There are some free ones... wordstar, I think, is one.
EDIT: Actually, I was thinking of OfficeStar but just found that one ain't free. But this one is: http://www.abisource.com/ I just downloaded it and it is sweet! Got a lot of features I like so far. Last edited by TimPoet; 11-01-2002 at 03:10 AM. |

http://www.software602.com/products/pcs/ has word, spreadsheet, photo and album programs. All free.

open office is a great program and it's free.
