I replaced my CDRW with a faster one (Both Lite-On) and have burnt several CD's. Today Quicken prompted me for backup and will not accept CD I've been using. I have 3 that I rotate and it would not write to any of them. I tried formating one and it still wouldn't work. Previous buner was a 24X10X32 and new on is 40X12X48. Anyone else use CDRW for Quicken backups or have any ideas?
Chas

If you are trying to do the backup to CDRW from within Quicken, rename your backup file before you tell it to write. I have a customer that uses CDRW for Quickbooks backup and it refuses to overwrite the backup with the same file name.
A workaround is to back it up to another folder on the hard drive, then copy the backup to the CDRW with Windows Explorer. |

Thanks George. It's easy enough to backup to HD and include the files in regular backup that I do if I cain't get this thing working. It's ffunny that it worked fine up till I changed out the CDRW. I've even formatted a CDRW and it still doesn't work.
