Need MS Word97 advice

Two things about MS Word97 is bugging the heck out of me and I need some workarounds, guys.

1. When I go to save a new document the Save As box always goes to save it in My Documents that is in my C drive. I have made another logical drive (F) to store all my data on for efficient backup purposes and want it to open there so I don't have to click 5 times to save #@$(! new document I make. I want it to go right to My Documents in F drive.

2. When I write poetry and make a new line in a stanza I abhor that feature that makes the first letter of the new line a capital letter. How do I stop that? (see example of what I mean about when I want first letter of new line capitalized below)

For example:

Or
Before The Beginning

Before the beginning there was death.
The death of nothing,

As far as #1 goes.....

In Word, go to Tools ~ Options ~ File Locations tab. Click on Documents and then click the Modify button. Browse to the location that you'd like to be your default.

Go to Tools ~ Auto Correct. Uncheck the box for Capitalize first letter of sentences.
