Separating a Continuous Mp3 to Burn

Quick question. I have a few mp3 files that I would like to burn to a cd. However, they are one continuous track. I tried to separate them using album extractor, but that hasn't worked. How would I go about separating the files and putting them on CD? Any suggesstions?

USe any audio editor that will work with mp3's to extract each seperate part. Goldwave (www.goldwave.com) is an excellent shareware editor and will do what you need.

Do you know of any burning programs that would do this automatically? Even if the program wasn't perfect it would be better than nothing. I would rather use the seek feature on my CD than try to edit all the tracks all the time

Nero has a built-in audio editor, but I doubt it has the ability to establish markers in one long mp3 that will allow the program to establish verious tracks.

Using an audio editor is really the only way I'm framiliar with to do what you want effectively. All you are going to do is establish in/out points in the original and extract -- rename the sxtraction as a new track and you are done. You don't have to damage the oiginal -- you are just using it to make seperate tracks. You then arrange them in the order you want in your buring program and you're done.
