audio editing tool
i need a audio editing tool that will allow me to take a rather large and long file(550mb and 9 hours long), and split it into some smaller files. i tried Sonic Foundry Sound Forge 6.0 demo, but i gives me an error when trying to read the file. any suggestions or software? i do have sonic foundry acid pro, but i just got it and i am not too familiar with it yet.

Acid Pro won't really do it for you (well, it can, but it's pretty inefficient). Sound Forge demo won't because the demo version only works with files that are 10 minutes or shorter.
Go to www.goldwave.com and download Goldwave. It's shareware but should deal with a file that size. -Craig |
