Anti-Keylogging Software
Ladies & Gentleman - I will make this short. I am looking for the best Anti-Kelogging software that I can buy for personal use. If it is a commercial program, so be it. I would VERY MUCH appreciate your input on this. If there is such a thing as a Anti-Keylogger that has, lets say trapping\tracking capabilities of the attacker so much the better. Please do not hesitate if you think that one is to pricey. Price is not a factor, unless I have to take out a loan
.Thanks! FarOut |

I have found on program kinda like what you are looking for, at least you can demo it
SafeInput 1.0 Description From the developer: "SafeInput v1.0 is a virtual onscreen keyboard and is an add-on to Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can use SafeInput to input important information (like usernames, passwords, credit card details etc.) on web pages. SafeInput protects you from getting hacked by key logger programs that may keep track of what all keys you press. People with physical disability can also benefit from this software as no keyboard is required for basic inputs." Publisher: Askarya Technologies Date added: August 9, 2002 File size: 897K; Clock this download License: Free to try; $9.95 to buy Minimum requirements: Windows 95/98/NT/2000 Uninstaller included?: Yes Limitations: Nag screen http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10...l?tag=lst-0-21 not sure if that will help or not. probably the best thing would be to just make sure you have no keyboard loggers on your system. On-screen keyboards also come with Windows, if you have the Accessibility items installed. If that will work for you, you don't even have to download anything.
There are still many, many attacks that this will not stop, however. |

Appreciate the information Byte, I will give it a test drive. Basically what I am looking for is a program to detect the presence of Key Logging programs. I have one now (Anti-Keylogger) but I don't know if it is the best that is out there. I'm not a paranoid person by no means, to old for that crap. It is just that some things are happening @ work & I beleive it will turn into a sorta chess match between good & evil. You might say that I am looking to catch evil. I just want to kep my PC clean while the game is being played.
But your thought on shielding yourself could be used in conjunction with a search and destroy scheme to kinda have a much fuller protection plan. Thanks again Byte! |

I have a evil idea, install Zone alarm, tell it to make all programs ask for access to the internet before they can get access.
If there is some evil program going when it trys to call home, Zone alarm will pop up, Do you want XXX to access the internet? yes No, remember this choice. |

Now see, Byte is a good example of what the mind is capable of if you just let it loose, scary isn't it.
Since my attacks will come from the Intranet instead of the Internet I can still apply your thinking Byte. I believe all I need is a packet sniffer and a small COBOL\Assm program. Thanks again Byte for looking @ the problem @ a different angle. But if anyone has any thoughts on Anti-Keyloggers please let me know. Later! |

Spycop is a program that when ran will look for keyloggers and such. Another handy program is Windows Washer which erases certain log files which windows keeps about everything you do, but are not needed. And finally go into IE properties and turn of the AUto-Complete Function

Much appreciated guy's, I'll give Spycop a spin and see where it measures up with the others. And couldn't use a firewall like ZA or any other on my WS. It would be going off like an alarm clock all the time.
That is why I'm thinking of using a packet sniffer in conjuction with a program I'll write to narrow the search. I'm in a position that I know the mac addresses of known possible intruders. Thanks again! |
