Good sound recording software
I need a small, free, but good software program that will let me record through the 'line in' on my sound card, and save it into a MP3 file. I dont need anything fancy, but I do need more then 60sec of recording time. The quality is not real importent as I will be recording from a few old cassette tapes and the quality of those are not to great anyways, however good compression would be nice as I will be emailing some of these recorded sound files that I make to a few people. The sound recording program that comes with WinXP would probably work just fine for me if I could record more then 60sec's of music. I would like for the compression to be good enough to fit a 3min soung onto a floppy disk if I could. I have Pro Tools but it's the win98 version and the last time I booted to win98 I did some editting of the registry and made some changes that were not good to say the least. I could probably fix it, but since I've been using winXP I really dont care to use 98 anymore. I do like the Pro Tools program though, but that's kind of a big download for me since I only have dial up access.

You are truly the 'Audio/Video Guru' I only checked out the program a little bit, but that's a killer program, especially for shareware! I was kind of hoping you would see this post. Thanks for the link.
