Hi,
Does somebody know what an EPS Vector format is? I'm not even sure if it's some kind of format or what so ever. Only thing I know is that it has to do something with graphical files. If this is some kind of file or format, what program should I use to open it and to edit it? Thanks in advance, PiC |

EPS
Abbreviation of Encapsulated PostScript. Pronounced as separate letters, EPS is the graphics file format used by the PostScript language. EPS files can be either binary or ASCII. The term EPS usually implies that the file contains a bit-mapped representation of the graphics for display purposes. In contrast, PostScript files include only the PostScript commands for printing the graphic. The only online dictionary and search engine you need for computer and Internet technology. http://www.pcwebopedia.com/ |

That sounds right. I did a little tex editing last year and had to insert a picture or two and used the eps format. Pretty sure I used The Gimp to edit it.

There is a port for Win32, so you need not run it under linux.
