VMWare
I am currently evaluating the software under the 30 day trial evaluation. The version for Linux is rather uninspiring and choppy in peformance. The MSWindows version is much more robust and smoother. So, if anything, it seems the Windows version is the way to go.
But, does anyone have experience with VMWare, a similar product, or both who can make recommendations? Should I avoid it all together, get something else, etc. Any input would be vastly appreciated before I sink my money into this. Respectfully, Demosthenes |

Hi Demosthenes,
I've downloaded both the Windows and Linux versions and have used them extensively over the evaluation time. I like them and have found them to be a valuable tool in testing software on a number of different OS's and just general sofware testing (so as to not, potentially, wreck your system). I have also tried VirtualPC, a much less robust and configurable program. I have liked VMWare better. If you have any questions, I could try to answer them. |
