PageMaker question

How do I merge several documents into one?

Using PM 7.0.

TIA for the input.

I use Pagemaker, but I do not understand your question or what it is you are trying to do when you say merge documents.

Depending on the program used to create the original documents it would be easier to create one document in Acrobat and import it to Pagemaker. Without knowing what you are trying to do I can add you may be setting yourself up for a formatting nightmare. But while I use Pagemaker some I'm am no expert with it so take my advice with a grain of salt.

OK. Here's what I wanna do:

I had my book split into 18 PM independent files. Each one for a chapter.

I want to create just one file with all the info from the 18 files.

How can I do that?

I'm running a trial version of PM that will stop working within 11 days and though I'd like to buy PM that is not an option right now because its price is very steep. I don't have Acrobat also, I'm using a trial version of PDF Factory.

Create a new document.
Under the file menu go to document setup.
Setup the number of pages that you want for your document.
Now open each individual page that you have already created, group all of the components (Element>Group).
Now you can copy (CRTL-C) your grouped elements and then paste them (CTRL-V) onto the page that you choose in your new multi-page document.
