software updater Wanted

Just wondering if someone can recommend a good utility for updating my software

cnet used to do this for free, they have an e mail notice service now

mcafee has a product $30.00 that claims to do it, never used it myself so I can not comment on it's effectivness etc.

Mcafee has oil change
but I was wondering if I used that If I would have any issues due to having Norton Sys wrks with NAV installed

I looked a little more carefully at the the clinic and sure nuff it is oil change, plus oil change is not supported in XP or NT4.

I have XP on my machine and for drivers and XP of course, it has done a decent job of keeping me up to date.

I did some more scrounging around and oil change looks to be a sole provider.

I do not know if it would conflict with norton, they make no mention of it, maybe someone else has tried and give us some guidence

I have XP-home But I have noticed that Alot of my software needed to be updated

I used catch up before and it was great until I had to reformatt and lost it

has anyone tried this one
It's quite expensive but it has a 30 day trial

you did not so much lose cathch up as they stopped providing the service, I looked at the link briefly - and for $500.00 I think I would set up a favorites folder with the pages for all the software apps and just check periodically.
